Ahlers in the news
Ahlers Logistics was in the focus of the news. Two magazines have interviewed our customer about the MLS-implementation at their operation. In Logistiek Totaal of February an interview has been published with Jochen de Pelecijn, Site Manager Ahlers EDC; he tells about his experiences with the implementation. In Supply Chain Solutions, a Belgian magazine, another interview with Mr. De Pelecijn en Mr. Wouter Criel, Project Engineer Logistics, has been published. Both interviews can be found hereunder. MLS User Group visits Hollander Barendrecht
On Wednesday 16th of March the MLS User Group (MUG) had a meeting at the Hollander site at Barendrecht. Jeroen Cornelissen of the Hollander organization explained about the Hollander organization and the close co-operation with Plus-retail.In the tour at the warehouse the MUG-members were able to get a good impression of the logistical concept at Hollander. Together with interesting discussions on cloud-computing, SaaS and labour management functionality, the conclusion of this meeting was that it was a well-spent afternoon.
MLS live at Partner Logistics in Argentan, France
Partner Logistics has built a huge coldstore in Argentan, France. The first pallets have been brought in in February last. Partner Logistics has extended its European network with this achievement. AGU chooses again Davanti's MLS
AGU, the wholesale organisation in cycling gear in Alkmaar, has recently changed its logistic concept structurally. This forced them either to extend their existing warehouse management system considerably or to choose for another, new WMS which could provide all present wishes and requirements.
AGU has worked with MLS from 1998 on. After extensive preliminary research AGU has finally chosen again for MLS, now for the latest version 6.3. The implementation preparation is in full swing and parties have the common objective to have the WMS fully in operation before the cycling season starts again.

MLS in largest UK coldstore
MLS has been implemented in UK's largest coldstore; the impressive warehouse has been built and is operated by Partner Logistics. The warehouse has a floor area of 15.400 m2 and a height of 36 meters. In the warehouse 77.000 pallets of frozen food can be stored at a temperature of -26 Celcius degrees. New implementation in chemical storage
MLS offers advanced standard functionality to deal with the registration and segregation of chemical products. Based on dynamic configurable dangerous goods keys MLS can keep track of maximum quantities allowed and control the segregation rules, both static and dynamic. This functionality has been implemented at the VLSB group (former Vopak) and Davanti has now capitalized on this functionality and started another implementation in this industry in Belgium.
Raben expands to 1600 MLS users
Raben Poland has recently expanded its operation significantly and added 450 additional MLS users. These users are divided over RF users and desktop users and the total number of MLS users at Raben has now reached the astonishing number of 1600! These 1600 users work in 11 different sites on a single software source. This makes Raben the largest MLS customer in terms of number of users. The ambitions of Raben Poland do not end here since they intend to open up more warehouses in Eastern Europe with MLS in the near future.
